Holiday Greetings from Scantrol and Deep Vision 2024

Christmas time is about giving, and every year, Scantrol Group makes a contribution to a non-profit organization on behalf of you, our valued customers. For the past three years, we have chosen Our Children Learning simply because of the amazing progress they make year by year. The organization has built and runs a school in Mairom, Chad, with smaller units in the villages of Gangoli, Baïnaka, Kogho, Kissinga, and Beyo.

"In the last three years, the Christmas campaigns have proven to be our most important source of income for the school. Thanks to the funds we received last year, we were able to provide education for around 100 children. This has made an enormous difference in a part of the world where children without support often do not get the opportunity to go to school at all," explains founder Ousmane Kabo.

Our Children Learning is, of course, about schooling children who would otherwise not have access to education. But it is also about so much more. It's about securing clean water and healthcare, producing energy with the help of solar panels, and uniting otherwise diverse groups of people in the villages.

In 2024, Our Children Learning has opened two new schools in Beyo and Gangoli, built two new latrines with clean drinking water, started a sewing school for women and young mothers, opened a library, and launched an online learning platform for French, English, and one of the local languages.

In addition, they have employed a former teacher to travel around the villages and write down local fairy tales and stories traditionally told around the campfire to secure the survival of local culture. Going into 2025, Our Children Learning is a true inspiration of progress and impact!

Wishing you all a peaceful holiday and a prosperous new year.
